Bosch Thermotechniek B.V. develops, produces and sells innovative and sustainable products for heating and hot water with the help of more than 550 employees. Bosch Thermotechniek is part of the international Robert Bosch concern. Our products are used by customers around the globe.

Responsible for commercial wall-hung condensing boilers, the team is introducing a new product line for Bosch (GC7000WP) and Buderus (GB272) in more than 30 different markets in the world. We develop the boilers from 50kW to 150kW as well as the accessories to combine boilers into heating systems up to 900kW (see Youtube link for an impression of our product). Our products are often used in apartment buildings, office buildings, hotels, hospitals, and multi-family homes. We are in close contact with the markets and continuously develop new features to meet the future market requirements.

Currently we are looking for a Lead Design Engineer who wants to make a vital contribution to our new and improved appliances.


As a Lead Design Engineer, you are at the heart of the design process. In consultation with the product owners and project leaders, you plan the various engineering activities and make sure tasks are equally divided among the 6 design engineers.

Across the entire life cycle of the product portfolio, you are working to improve the design of our products. With our team of design engineers, you proactively translate market requirements into a product design. You assess the product design, the related tolerance calculations, simulations, tests and reports.

You lead the design activities in close cooperation with internal customers like purchasing, production, and sales and with external parties such as design agencies, suppliers and universities. In addition, you are in frequent contact with other international Bosch Thermotechnology locations.


You meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor/ Master level, e.g. in the area of Industrial Product Design or Mechanical Engineering;
  • At least 3 years of experience as a design engineer with coordinating activities, preferably in a high tech R&D environment for series production;
  • Experience in manufacturing techniques such as sheet metal and injection molding and experience with a wide range of different materials;
  • Experience with 3D modeling and specifying 2D (UG-NX) and PDM (Teamcenter and SAP);
  • Preferably experience with quality methods such as FMEA, FTA, DRBFM, and 8D;
  • You are a great team player, organizational talent, strongly independent and result-oriented;
  • You also have great analytical and quality mindset skills;
  • Given our international field of work, having good communication skills in English is a must.
